Friday was scheduled to be my last day anyways but it still felt viscerally right and good to walk off today. Not sure why. Not sure that I care to know why, really. All I know is that it felt right in the end.

Looking back through all the things I’ve put up with at that place it does amuse me a little to see that the thing that ended up setting me off was something trivial and stupid. All that happened, really, was a small and small minded man gave himself an ego boost by adding the word “manager” in his email sig… when he was not a manager.

Why did I care? I was leaving anyways… but it irked me so I asked him about it. Instead of acknowledging it (for which I would have been surprised but I would have congratulated him for it, even faceciously) – he instead went the route of saying “What about it? I don’t see how that’s any business of yours.”

I think I told him to go f*ck himself a few hundred times and walked out.

It was so freeing…
